The Pakistan men’s cricket team squad assembled in Karachi today and will take part in a training camp at the Hanif Mohammad High-Performance Centre from Monday, 21 September to Thursday, 24 September. The team will depart for Japan on the night of 24 September.
Five members of the squad, including Usman Khan, Saim Ayub, Maaz Sadaqat, Hasan Nawaz and Sufyan Moqim, are expected to join the camp following their franchise commitments, which will conclude on Sunday night according to Barbados local time.
Fast bowler Mohammad Wasim Jnr replaced Mohammad Salman Mirza in the squad after the latter was sidelined from the event due to a fracture in his left thumb. Salman is currently undergoing rehabilitation and is expected to regain complete fitness in the first week of October.
Following is the day-by-day schedule of Pakistan’s squad for the pre-departure camp: (All practice sessions will be at HPC nets area and HPC Oval, Karachi)

21 and 22 September – The team will take part in a training session from 10 am to 1 pm.
23 September – The team will play a T20 practice match from 10 am onwards at the Oval Ground.
24 September – The team will take part in a centre-wicket scenario match session at the Oval Ground from 10 am onwards. The 21-member Pakistan men’s cricket contingent will depart for Japan from Jinnah International Airport, Karachi at 11 pm.
