Beautification of Islamabad.

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) is set to introduce digital billboards inspired by New York’s Times Square. The decision was made during a meeting by CDA Chairman Mohammad Ali Randhawa to review the Advertisement Policy 2024. This new policy aims to modernize advertising methods in the city. Senior officials of the civic authority and other relevant officers attended the meeting.

Chairman Mohammad Ali Randhawa directed the swift finalization and implementation of the Advertisement Policy 2024, which will replace traditional advertising methods with digital boards across the city. The CDA chairman was informed that digital boards will be installed along highways, major avenues, commercial zones, and bus stops.

In separate news, Islamabad and Baku have begun implementing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) focused on beautifying the Pakistani capital. A team of horticulture experts from Baku met with CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa on Thursday. The Azerbaijani experts will start by renovating and landscaping four key areas in Islamabad: Srinagar Highway, Shakarparian, Saidpur Village, and Melody Food Park.

Islamabad, the capital city of Pakistan, is a modern marvel nestled in the foothills of the majestic Margalla Hills. Established in the 1960s, Islamabad was a purpose-built capital designed to reflect the aspirations of a newly independent nation. The city’s layout was masterminded by the Greek architect and town planner, Constantinos Apostolou Doxiadis, who envisioned a metropolis that harmonizes urban living with nature.

One of Islamabad’s most striking features is its breathtaking natural beauty. The city is adorned with lush green spaces, picturesque hills, and serene lakes, making it one of the most scenic capitals in the world. The Margalla Hills National Park offers residents and visitors a haven for hiking, bird watching, and experiencing nature up close.

Islamabad is not just beautiful but also one of the most modern capitals globally. Its wide, tree-lined boulevards, meticulously planned sectors, and contemporary architecture reflect a blend of traditional and modern aesthetics. The city is home to several important government buildings, foreign embassies, and cultural landmarks, including the iconic Faisal Mosque, which is one of the largest and most stunning mosques in the world.

The climate of Islamabad is another aspect that adds to its charm. The city enjoys a moderate climate with four distinct seasons, each bringing its unique beauty. The pleasant weather makes it an ideal place for outdoor activities year-round.

In essence, Islamabad stands out as a symbol of progress and natural splendor. Its well-planned infrastructure, combined with the beauty of its natural surroundings, makes it a captivating and desirable place to live and visit. The city’s commitment to preserving its environment while fostering urban development sets it apart as a model capital in the 21st century.
