Ghani ChemWorld Limited (PSX: GCWL) has formally commenced the commissioning of its import substitute Calcium Carbide (and its related products) project, located at the Hattar Special Economic Zone.
The project, developed under the supervision of Chinese and European experts, marks a significant step towards the commercial operations of this first-of-its-kind initiative in Pakistan, the company’s filing on PSX revealed today.
Built to modern technological standards, the facility is designed to cater to both domestic and export market demands for Calcium Carbide and its related products, which are essential inputs in various industrial processes.
