The automotive industry in Pakistan is entering an exciting new phase, with a surge in hybrid and electric vehicles.

Adding to this momentum, MG Motors Pakistan has announced that it will officially distribute vehicles from IM Motors, a fast-growing Chinese electric vehicle brand.

The announcement, made during the Shanghai Auto Show 2025, signals a major step toward bringing more cutting-edge EVs to Pakistani roads.

MG Pakistan Partners with IM Motors

At the Shanghai Auto Show, MG Pakistan, a joint venture between China’s SAIC Motors and Pakistan’s JW SEZ Group, revealed its appointment as the official distributor for IM Motors.

Founded in 2020 through a partnership between SAIC Motor, Zhangjiang Hi-Tech, and Alibaba Group, IM Motors focuses on developing high-end, intelligent electric vehicles.

The company already competes with global leaders such as Tesla, Polestar, and Mercedes-Benz. IM Motors currently offers models like the IM L7, IM LS6, IM L6, and IM LS7, and these models could soon appear on Pakistani roads.

Will the IM LS6 and Other Models Launch in Pakistan?

Given MG Pakistan’s new role as IM Motors’ official distributor, it now seems highly likely that the IM LS6, along with other IM models, will launch in Pakistan.

Although an exact timeline has not been confirmed, the announcement marks a significant move toward expanding Pakistan’s range of high-tech electric vehicles.

For Pakistani EV enthusiasts, this development offers hope that more advanced and globally competitive vehicles will soon become available locally.

As the electric vehicle revolution continues to gain ground, partnerships like this could reshape the future of Pakistan’s auto industry.
