The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has raised over Rs. 21.84 billion by auctioning 18 commercial plots across different categories during the ongoing four-day auction.

On the third day, a significant number of investors participated, with five commercial plots fetching Rs. 5.024 billion through competitive bidding. This follows the first two days of the auction, where the CDA had already secured over Rs. 16.82 billion.

The final phase, scheduled for Friday, will include the auction of constructed shops in the Blue Area Parking Plaza.

According to auction details, Plot No. 25-B in Sector G-11/1 was sold for Rs. 2.794 billion, while Plot No. 5 in Sector G-9/2 secured Rs. 246 million. Additionally, three plots in I-14 Markaz—Plot No. 3-E, 3-D, and 3-C—were each auctioned for Rs. 661.3 million, contributing to the Rs. 5.024 billion total for the day.

The auction is overseen by the CDA Auction Committee, chaired by the Member Finance. All received bids will undergo scrutiny before being presented to the CDA Board for approval or rejection.

CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa stated that the revenue generated from the auction will be utilised for city development, including infrastructure improvement and beautification projects.
