Overseas Pakistanis have demonstrated significant interest in Sector C-14, with the Capital Development Authority (CDA) receiving approximately 500 applications from expatriates for 238 one-kanal plots.

The deadline for application submissions was December 30, during which over 1,200 individuals, including about 500 overseas Pakistanis, applied. The CDA plans to conduct e-balloting to allocate the 238 plots at a fixed price of Rs60 million each. Sector C-14, located at the foothills of Margalla along the newly constructed Margalla Road, has attracted substantial attention.

CDA officials stated that overseas Pakistanis would be prioritized in the allotment process, while local applicants would be placed on a waiting list. “We have received 500 applications from overseas Pakistanis for 238 plots so that balloting will prioritize them. Most of the plots are likely to be allotted to overseas applicants,” said a CDA official.

The official further noted that all applicants appeared serious, as local residents paid a processing fee of approximately Rs13,000, while overseas Pakistanis paid $50. Following this auction, the CDA plans to auction residential plots in other sectors, such as I-12 and C-15.

Meanwhile, CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa chaired a review meeting on Monday to assess the balloting process for Sector C-14. According to a press release, the meeting highlighted the overwhelming response from overseas Pakistanis and local applicants.

The CDA chairman expressed satisfaction with the progress and stated that after reconciling the application data, a preliminary list of applicants would be published on the CDA’s website by January 3. Applicants would then have two days to raise objections before the final list is prepared.

Development work in Sector C-14 is progressing rapidly, and the CDA aims to hand over plot possession to buyers before the completion of a 10-month installment payment plan. On the same day, the CDA chief also held a meeting with the chief operating officer of IESCO to address pending issues, including establishing grid stations for Sector C-14 and neighboring sectors.
