Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA), Muhammad Ali Randhawa, presided over a meeting on Thursday to discuss ways to enhance resource management, operational efficiency, and revenue generation.

During the meeting, the chairman directed the implementation of digital parking systems in Islamabad’s major parks. He emphasized that revenue collected would be used for the development and upkeep of these parks.

Discussions also focused on improving the operations of Capital Hospital. Chairman Randhawa called for reducing local medicine purchases, appointing a Director of Finance, and preparing a comprehensive plan to boost the hospital’s financial viability.

For the Directorate of Health Services, the meeting highlighted reopening non-functional medical centers and appointing medical officers. It also proposed mandatory medical screenings and vaccinations for workers in barber shops, food outlets, and similar businesses as a licensing requirement.

The meeting further addressed reforms for the Enforcement Wing, including empowering inspectors to collect fines on the spot and introducing an online fine collection system to ensure transparency and efficiency.

These initiatives aim to improve public services while enhancing operational transparency in Islamabad.
