Xi Jinping on family and country
Friday marks the Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as the Moon Festival, a traditional Chinese holiday when families gather to celebrate.
Under the full moon, people share mooncakes and savor the joy of reunion. The moon goddess Chang’e, the Jade Rabbit, the osmanthus tree, and glowing lanterns are among the timeless symbols of the festival.
