Ecotourism Gem in China: Jiuzhaigou

BEIJING, June 3 (Xinhua) — Jiuzhai Valley, also known as Jiuzhaigou National Park, is known for its spectacular waterfalls, lush forests, serene plateau lakes and karst rock formations.

Located in the mountains on the eastern edge of the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau, it is one of the most acclaimed tourist destinations in China.

In addition to its stunning natural landscapes, Jiuzhaigou County is also home to a variety of wild animal species. You can spot Sichuan golden snub-nosed monkeys roaming in Baihe National Nature Reserve, and giant pandas in the Jiawuhai Giant Panda Conservation and Research Park.
