Iran has launched a new wave of ballistic missiles and drones at Israel, intensifying a rapidly escalating conflict between the two countries.
The Israeli military confirmed that “another volley of dozens of missiles was launched towards the State of Israel,” with air raid sirens sounding across the country and the Iron Dome defense system intercepting many of the incoming threats.
Explosions and fires have been reported in several areas, including near Israel’s Defence Ministry headquarters in Tel Aviv. Israeli media say rockets also struck at least seven locations in central Israel, though official damage reports are still pending.
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said its forces targeted “dozens of military centers and air bases” in Israel, calling the attack a “crushing and precise response” to Israeli airstrikes on Iranian nuclear sites and the killing of senior Iranian commanders. The strikes were ordered by Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
