Company says 1.5 km flowline enabled early production from Sanghar discovery; AKD Securities estimates annualised earnings impact of Rs1.19 per share on FY27 EPS

The Oil & Gas Development Company Limited has started production from Bobi Deep-1 in District Sanghar, Sindh, on a fast-track basis, with the well currently producing 2,000 barrels of oil per day, the company said in a notice to the Pakistan Stock Exchange.
The production start follows OGDCL’s earlier disclosure on June 3, 2026, in which the company announced an oil discovery at Bobi Deep-1 in the Massive Sand of the Lower Goru Formation.
The well is located in the Bobi and Dhamraki Mining Lease in District Sanghar. OGDCL is the operator of the lease with a 100% working interest.
According to the company, early production was made possible after it completed a 4-inch, 1.5-kilometre flowline from the well site to the Bobi Plant within a short period.
OGDCL said the move was part of its strategy to accelerate monetisation of discoveries through indigenous capabilities. It added that production from Bobi Deep-1 would support domestic energy supplies and help reduce reliance on imports.
In a separate comment, AKD Securities estimated that the discovery could contribute annualised earnings of around Rs1.19 per share to OGDCL’s FY27 earnings per share, based on its currency and crude oil assumptions.
AKD Securities said Bobi Deep-1 was the latest in a series of OGDCL’s recent exploration successes, including Baragzai X-1, Sahito-1 and Bitrism East-1, which it said continued to support the company’s exploration and development outlook heading into FY27.
