Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the Federal Cabinet have appealed to the nation to offer special prayers on Friday for the transformation of the ceasefire into lasting peace, as well as for Pakistan’s development and prosperity.
The Federal Cabinet, which met in Islamabad today with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in the chair, reaffirmed its strong commitment to work for the country’s economic progress, describing Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts and their global recognition as historic.
The Cabinet members said the region is swiftly heading towards a lasting peace as a result of Pakistan’s sincere efforts.
They noted that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir have elevated the nation’s pride by convincing the concerned parties to agree to a ceasefire, despite an extremely tense and challenging environment.
The Federal Cabinet also commended Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir for their efforts toward a ceasefire and peace in the region.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister took the federal cabinet into confidence regarding Pakistan’s ongoing steps and efforts to end the ongoing tension and ceasefire in the Gulf.
