Global Silk Route Research Alliance
The Global Silk Route Research Alliance (GSRRA) was founded to deepen understanding of the
Silk Route—its ancient legacy and modern revival. It takes a holistic view, exploring trade,
investment, infrastructure, connectivity, cultural exchange, people-to-people ties, and the shifting
geopolitical landscape.
It also closely monitors geopolitics, global trade, investment flows, and international conflicts to
assess their impact on the BRI and Silk Route. As an inclusive platform, the GSRRA welcomes
global scholars to exchange ideas and shape a shared future of cooperation and prosperity.
Our Mission
The Global Silk Route Research Alliance (GSRRA) is a dedicated, independent think tank
committed to providing rigorous analysis and strategic insights on the evolving political, economic,
and security landscapes across the regions connected by the historical and modern Silk Route. Our
mission is to foster a deeper understanding of the Belt & Road Initiative under regional
complexities and facilitate informed decision-making among policymakers, business leaders, and
academic communities globally
Strategic Focus
GSRRA’s research agenda is centered on the geopolitical and economic interdependencies shaping Eurasia and the broader global context, with a core focus on the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and its impact.
- Geopolitics & Security: Analyzing power dynamics, regional rivalries, and strategic
foreign policy maneuvers, particularly involving major global powers (China, America)
and regional states. - Belt & Road Initiative (BRI): Providing expert commentary and in-depth studies on
BRI projects, investment flows, infrastructure development, and long-term economic
implications. - Regional Economy & Trade: Examining economic integration, trade policy, and
sustainable development across Silk Route nations, with a specialized focus on Pakistan
and China. - Strategic National Interests: Addressing critical regional issues, promoting national
interest protection, and offering analysis on key political and social events affecting
member states.
Why GSRRA Matters
As the geopolitical center of gravity shifts towards Eurasia, the need for reliable, balanced, and locally-informed research is paramount. GSRRA fills this gap by:
- Well Connected: We offer a nuanced view that incorporates regional Chinese analytical frameworks.
- Science & Technology Cooperation: Translating complex geopolitical and economic data into practical policy recommendations for stakeholders.
- Regional Specialization: Maintaining a focused expertise on critical nodes of the BRI, particularly the relationship between China and Pakistan.
