Authorities have decided to install modern scanning machines at Karachi airport and other busy airports across Pakistan to strengthen aviation security and improve passenger facilitation.

According to sources, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA), and Airports Security Force (ASF) have completed a comprehensive survey for the installation of advanced scanning equipment at major airports, including Karachi, Islamabad, and Lahore.
The new machines will enable faster and more efficient screening of passengers’ luggage while significantly enhancing airport security. The CAA, PAA, and ASF have jointly accelerated work on the multi-billion-rupee project under CAA supervision.
Officials said the project aims to ensure prompt baggage screening, reduce delays, and align airport security systems with international civil aviation standards.
