Azerbaijan has officially received its first batch of JF-17C (Block-III) multirole fighter jets at a ceremony held at Heydar Aliyev International Airport. The event, attended by President Ilham Aliyev, marks a significant addition to Azerbaijan\u2019s military capabilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the Ministry of Defence, these advanced jets were developed in collaboration between the Pakistan Aeronautical Complex and China\u2019s Chengdu Aircraft Industry Corporation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The JF-17C jets, known for their versatility in air-to-air and air-to-ground combat, are equipped to handle missions in all weather conditions. Their high maneuverability makes them an important asset for Azerbaijan\u2019s Air Force.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Air Vice Marshal Hakim Raza, Chairman of the Pakistan Aeronautical Complex, provided an overview of the jets\u2019 tactical and operational capabilities during the handover ceremony.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
While the number of jets and the deal\u2019s value have not been officially disclosed, earlier reports indicated that Azerbaijan\u2019s acquisition of the JF-17Cs is part of a larger defense agreement worth $1.6 billion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This deal is expected to deepen military ties between Pakistan and Azerbaijan, with both countries looking to strengthen their defense cooperation.
