{"id":7140,"date":"2024-08-23T13:38:38","date_gmt":"2024-08-23T13:38:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/gsrra.com\/?p=7140"},"modified":"2024-08-23T13:38:40","modified_gmt":"2024-08-23T13:38:40","slug":"alibaba-group-announces-primary-listing-in-hong-kong","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gsrra.com\/?p=7140","title":{"rendered":"Alibaba Group announces primary listing in Hong Kong"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Alibaba Group on Friday announced its primary listing plan on the main board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, with the change to primary listing scheduled for Aug. 28, which will make the group a dual-primary listed company on the New York Stock Exchange and the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"392\" height=\"220\" src=\"https:\/\/gsrra.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/image-139.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7142\" style=\"width:554px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/gsrra.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/image-139.png 392w, https:\/\/gsrra.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/image-139-300x168.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 392px) 100vw, 392px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The upgrade of listing status in Hong Kong, which Alibaba applied in July 2022, does not include new share offering and fundraising, the Chinese tech giant said in a statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The addition of Hong Kong as another primary listing venue is expected to allow Alibaba to broaden its investor base from the Chinese mainland and other Asian markets and increase the liquidity of its Hong Kong-listed shares.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since its secondary listing in Hong Kong in 2019, the majority of its public float has been shifted to Hong Kong.
