{"id":6925,"date":"2024-08-19T04:35:46","date_gmt":"2024-08-19T04:35:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/gsrra.com\/?p=6925"},"modified":"2024-08-19T04:35:48","modified_gmt":"2024-08-19T04:35:48","slug":"master-changan-motors-ltd-plans-local-assembling-of-electric-vehicles-in-pakistan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gsrra.com\/?p=6925","title":{"rendered":"Master Changan Motors Ltd plans local assembling of electric vehicles in Pakistan"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"\/\/send?text=Master%20Changan%20Motors%20Ltd%20plans%20local%20assembling%20of%20electric%20vehicles%20%0A%20https%3A%2F%2Fwww.dawn.com%2Fnews%2F1852773%3Fref%3Dwhatsapp\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dawn.com\/primary\/2024\/08\/17103848caa171b.png\" alt=\"Changan Autos. \u2014 Facebook\/changan.pk\" title=\"Changan Autos. \u2014 Facebook\/changan.pk\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Master Changan Motors Ltd (MCML), a joint venture between Master Group of Industries and Changan International, intends to convert its newly launched imported electric vehicles into a completely knocked down (CKD) project within a year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Currently, the existing plant is fully operational, and after the upgrade, it will be converted to roll out locally assembled EVs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>MCML unveiled its two imported EV models \u2014 Deepal L07 (sports luxury sedan) and S07 (SUV) \u2014 at Dolmen Mall, Clifton, on Friday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the event\u2019s sideline, MCML Director Sales and Marketing Shabir-ud-Din said the company is targeting an overall investment of $50 million for rolling out three to four CKD models in the next two to three years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He said the company aimed to provide a pure electric vehicle at the right price with a traveling range of over 500km, like the recently launched imported Deepal vehicles, which can go from Lahore to Islamabad on a single charge or move within the city at least for one week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mr Shabir said all the 23 after-sales countrywide networks would also be converted into EV workshops.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>MCML Chief Executive Danial Malik said the company would ensure charging infrastructure in 17 cities compared to the current availability in five cities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He said 41pc of Pakistan\u2019s energy mix is based on non-fossil fuel energy generation.
