Ali Habib said it was his dream for Pakistan to become an exporter of vehicles. That dream has now become a reality,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mr Jamali underscored the need for long-term policies and the development of local input sources to bolster the auto sector. He humorously added that the \u201ccarrot approach\u201d is far more effective than the \u201cstick approach\u201d when it comes to incentivizing the industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Federal Minister for Industries and Production Rana Tanveer Hussain emphasized, \u201cWe are proud to see Indus Motor, one of Pakistan\u2019s renowned companies, contributing towards exports. The government\u2019s Automotive Industry Development and Export Policy 2021-26 policy aims to boost the automotive sector by encouraging the export of localized parts and vehicles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIMC\u2019s proactive approach to leading from the front sets a benchmark for others in the industry. We are committed to supporting the auto industry in every possible way.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"182\" height=\"219\" src=\"https:\/\/gsrra.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/image-28.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6293\" style=\"width:768px;height:auto\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dawn.com\/news\/1849304\/indus-motor-company-begins-export-of-vehicles#un-regulations\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><\/a>UN regulations<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile, during a visit to Pak Suzuki Motor Company Ltd (PSMCL) on Wednesday, the minister assured the management that the compliance issue of United Nations regulations would be resolved shortly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mr Rana highlighted the government\u2019s commitment to supporting Pakistan\u2019s automotive industry through policy alignment, export promotion, and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dawn.com\/news\/1836331\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">addressing industry challenges<\/a>&nbsp;to foster sustainable growth and competitiveness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>PSMCL management informed the minister that the majority of Suzuki models and versions are already in compliance with the UN regulations, marking the company\u2019s commitment to safety, environmental responsibility, and adherence to global standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The remaining models and versions are still undergoing modifications or replacements to ensure full compliance by the end of June 2025, PSMCL said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Chief Executive Hiroshi Kawamura pointed out three significant milestones: the commencement of Suzuki vehicle exports from Pakistan to Bangladesh and Afghanistan, the production of its 2.5 millionth vehicle in Pakistan, and the inauguration of the new Suzuki Vendor Cluster Area to expand its network of local suppliers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Strategic land allocation to new vendors aims to enhance efficiency and reduce costs through localized supply chain management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Source:- <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dawn.com\/news\/1849304\/indus-motor-company-begins-export-of-vehicles\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/www.dawn.com\/news\/1849304\/indus-motor-company-begins-export-of-vehicles<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Indus Motor Company (IMC) announced the milestone achievement of exporting vehicles manufactured in Pakistan during a ceremony held at the company\u2019s manufacturing facility at Port Qasim Authority on Wednesday.
