This data is part of a dashboard hosted by the \u2018National Institute of Population Studies\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The current edition looks at data from the National Institute of Population Studies Dashboard, which can be found<a>\u00a0<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/pmms.nipsportal.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">HERE<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Today\u2019s topic is \u201cPlace of delivery\u201d&nbsp;<\/strong>from the National Institute of Population Studies Dashboard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The dataset looks at the percent distribution of live births in the 5 years preceding the survey by place of delivery and percentage delivered in a health facility, according to background characteristics, Pakistan DHS 2017-18.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Key Findings:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Public vs. Private Facility:\u00a0<\/strong>28.5% of women reported giving birth in a public facility between 2015-2019, while the majority (42.6%) reported giving birth in private hospitals.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2. <\/strong>Education and Wealth:\u00a0The percentage of children born in private facilities has a positive relationship with the mother\u2019s education and wealth level, with the majority of those with the highest level of education (65.1%) and from the highest wealth quintile (63.4%) reporting giving birth in a private facility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>3. <\/strong>At-home Births: 28.8% of women reported giving birth at home between 2015-2019.
