The US has been violating its commitment of “One China Policy”. While establishing Diplomatic Relations with Peoples Republic of China in 1970s, the US broke its relations with Republic of China- Taiwan and agreed on “One China” policy. But, recently, in its campaign to Counter China, Contain China and Resist the Rise of China, the US has been using Taiwan as a tool of coercion and pressurising China. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Supplying lethal weapons and dangerous technologies to Taiwan, is meant to pressurise China. These weapons are much beyond the needs of Taiwan and only aimed to coerce China. Some of the weapons are really un-necessary. At one hand the US is making money by selling such expensive weapons, on the other hand, exerting pressure on China.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The following is the full text of the decision:- \u4ee5\u4e0b\u662f\u8be5\u51b3\u5b9a\u7684\u5168\u6587\uff1a-<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Decision on Taking Countermeasures Against General Atomics Aeronautical Systems and General Dynamics Land Systems (Issued on April 11, 2024 as Decree of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China No.5, effective as of April 11, 2024)<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u300a\u5173\u4e8e\u5bf9\u901a\u7528\u539f\u5b50\u822a\u7a7a\u7cfb\u7edf\u548c\u901a\u7528\u52a8\u529b\u9646\u5730\u7cfb\u7edf\u91c7\u53d6\u53cd\u5236\u63aa\u65bd\u7684\u51b3\u5b9a\u300b\uff082024\u5e744\u670811\u65e5\u4e2d\u534e\u4eba\u6c11\u5171\u548c\u56fd\u5916\u4ea4\u90e8\u4ee4\u7b2c5\u53f7\u53d1\u5e03\uff0c\u81ea2024\u5e7404\u670811\u65e5\u8d77\u65bd\u884c\uff09<\/p>\n\n\n\n The continued U.S. arms sales to China’s Taiwan region seriously violate the one-China principle and the provisions of the three China-U.S. joint communiqu\u00e9s, interfere in China’s internal affairs, and undermine China’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. Pursuant to Articles 3, 4, 5, 6, 9 and 15 of the Law of the People’s Republic of China on Countering Foreign Sanctions, China hereby decides to take the following countermeasures against U.S. companies that participate in arms sales to China’s Taiwan region, including General Atomics Aeronautical Systems and General Dynamics Land Systems, as listed in the attached List of Targets of Countermeasures:<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u7f8e\u56fd\u7ee7\u7eed\u5411\u4e2d\u56fd\u53f0\u6e7e\u5730\u533a\u51fa\u552e\u6b66\u5668\uff0c\u4e25\u91cd\u8fdd\u53cd\u4e00\u4e2a\u4e2d\u56fd\u539f\u5219\u548c\u4e2d\u7f8e\u4e09\u4e2a\u8054\u5408\u516c\u62a5\u7684\u89c4\u5b9a\uff0c\u5e72\u6d89\u4e2d\u56fd\u5185\u653f\uff0c\u7834\u574f\u4e2d\u56fd\u4e3b\u6743\u548c\u9886\u571f\u5b8c\u6574\u3002\u6839\u636e\u300a\u4e2d\u534e\u4eba\u6c11\u5171\u548c\u56fd\u53cd\u5916\u56fd\u5236\u88c1\u6cd5\u300b\u7b2c\u4e09\u6761\u3001\u7b2c\u56db\u6761\u3001\u7b2c\u4e94\u6761\u3001\u7b2c\u516d\u6761\u3001\u7b2c\u4e5d\u6761\u548c\u7b2c\u5341\u4e94\u6761\u7684\u89c4\u5b9a\uff0c\u4e2d\u56fd\u51b3\u5b9a\u5bf9\u53c2\u4e0e\u5411\u4e2d\u56fd\u53f0\u6e7e\u5730\u533a\u51fa\u552e\u6b66\u5668\u7684\u7f8e\u56fd\u516c\u53f8\uff0c\u5305\u62ec\u901a\u7528\u539f\u5b50\u822a\u7a7a\u7cfb\u7edf\u516c\u53f8\u548c\u901a\u7528\u52a8\u529b\u9646\u5730\u7cfb\u7edf\u516c\u53f8\uff0c\u91c7\u53d6\u4e0b\u5217\u53cd\u5236\u63aa\u65bd\uff0c\u5177\u4f53\u63aa\u65bd\u5982\u4e0b\uff1a<\/p>\n\n\n\n 2. Their senior management shall be denied visas or entry into China. \u4ed6\u4eec\u7684\u9ad8\u7ea7\u7ba1\u7406\u4eba\u5458\u5c06\u88ab\u62d2\u7edd\u7b7e\u8bc1\u6216\u8fdb\u5165\u4e2d\u56fd\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n This decision shall come into force as of April 11, 2024. \u672c\u51b3\u5b9a\u81ea2024\u5e744\u670811\u65e5\u8d77\u751f\u6548\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n Hope these polite and soft measures are enough for the US to understand the Chinese concerns. If, the US still continue its policy to supporting Taiwan, and breaching the accord reached with Beijing, there can be more steps in future. Taiwan is red-line of China and can go to any extent, if forced.
