Many in Gaza say they are disappointed, but not surprised. They say they do not trust the international community, nor the global justice system, as they have so far failed to end the bloodshed in the enclave. More than 26,000 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza since October 7 and out of 2.2 million total population of Gaza, some 1.9 million have been internally displaced, according to the United Nations. The worst victims are the children, which constitute about 70% almost.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The International Court of Justice (ICJ) issued a series of provisional measures requiring Israel to comply with the 1948 Genocide Convention, allow more humanitarian aid into Gaza and act against those who issue genocidal statements. But the court fell short of ordering an immediate ceasefire or insisting that Israel cease all military activity in the strip. However, the ICJ has required Israel to submit a report in one month outlining the steps it is taking to show it is complying with the provisional measures ordered. South Africa will then be given the opportunity to respond to this report. While Israel will come under more scrutiny over how it conducts its military assault on Gaza, it will not be violating the court\u2019s decision by continuing its bombardment. Earlier this month, South Africa very clearly asked the ICJ to order an emergency suspension of Israel\u2019s devastating military campaign in Gaza to stop Genocide in Gaza. Unfortunately, the ICJ\u2019s decision is not meeting the demand of stopping genocide, it is really shame for ICJ. There are arguments that Israel is so strong and ICJ could not implement its decision for stopping Genocide. International community as a whole failed to stop Genocide, including the UNSC. It is shame for us all. If Israel cared about international law, its forces wouldn\u2019t have committed genocide at the first instance. Long before South Africa filed a case against Israel at the International Court of Justice on 29 December 2023 over its genocidal war on Gaza, its iconic anti-apartheid leader, Nelson Mandela, who came to embody the struggle for justice worldwide; stated, \u201cPalestine was the greatest moral issue of our time.\u201d\u00a0 Three decades have passed since Mandela expressed those sentiments.\u00a0 They remain as relevant today as they were then.\u00a0 Perhaps more so.\u00a0 Mandela and fellow Black South Africans finally won their fight against apartheid beginning in the 1990s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But, if other countries remain silent, especially the Muslim world, then the move is insufficient. Gratitude to all nations and countries and individuals who so ever stood with humanity and raised their voice to stop genocide in Gaza.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aware of the financial limitations of European Jewry, Jabotinsky wrote in November 1939\u00a0 to a fellow party member: \u201cWe should instruct American Jewry to mobilize half a billion dollars in order that Iraq and Saudi Arabia will absorb the Palestinian Arabs\u2026.The Arabs must make room for the Jews in Eretz Israel.\u00a0 If it was possible to transfer the Baltic peoples, it is also possible to move the Palestinian Arabs.\u201d Plan Dalet and what Israel\u2019s first Prime Minister, David Ben-Gurion, referred to in 1938 as \u201ccompulsory transfer,\u201d is clearly Israel\u2019s scheme to depopulate Gaza.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
