(Photo by Ren Weiyun\/Xinhua)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway is a flagship project of the Belt and Road Initiative, personally promoted by the heads of state of China, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan. \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The route begins in Kashgar, located in northwest China&#8217;s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, and passes through the mountainous terrain of Kyrgyzstan to reach Uzbekistan. &nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It has become a strategic corridor benefiting all three countries and their peoples, contributing to regional economic and social development and playing a significant role in promoting infrastructure connectivity, economic and trade exchanges, and high-quality development of the Belt and Road.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/english.news.cn\/20260830\/2a43ea5daebe4a049c45aaf63460ab49\/202608302a43ea5daebe4a049c45aaf63460ab49_XxjpbeE000351_20260830_CBMFN0A002.JPG\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">An aerial drone photo taken on July 18, 2026 shows a construction site of a subgrade section of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway.
