Supported by the Inter\u00adnational Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the competition brought together around 120 students and experts from 19 countries, including China, Japan, Russia, Turkiye, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Saudi Arabia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The team was selected and trained by the Pakis\u00adtan Institute of Engi\u00adneer\u00ading and Applied Sciences (PIEAS), under the auspi\u00adces of the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Muhammad Ali from Govt College University, Lahore, won a gold medal, while Muhammad Usman from F.G. Sir Syed College, The Mall, Rawalpindi, and Seerat Fatima from Nixor College, Karachi, secured silver medals. Syed Shuja Haider from Sundar STEM School, Lahore, also represented Pakistan at the Olympiad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The students were selec\u00ad\u00adted through the Pakis\u00adtan Nuclear Science Olymp\u00adia\u00ad\u00ad\u00add, an initiative of PAEC ai\u00ad\u00adm\u00aded at identifying and nurturing young scientific talent for participation in the International Nuclear Science Olympiad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In another developme\u00ad\u00adnt, Pakistan was annou\u00adn\u00adced as the host of the 4th In\u00ad\u00adternational Nuclear Sci\u00adence Olympiad in 2027.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On the occasion, Dr Mu\u00ad\u00adhammad Maqsood from the PAEC Directorate of Edu\u00adcation and Dr Sajjad Tahir from PIEAS received a commemorative memento.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
