Israel helped us.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But a day after proclaiming the plan a \u201chistoric breakthrough,\u201d Mr. Trump tempered expectations. Calling the situation \u201cvery complex,\u201d he warned that the process would probably undergo \u201cups and downs.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The plan was officially brokered by the Board of Peace, a multinational body Mr. Trump created in early 2025 to oversee peace efforts between Israel and Hamas and the eventual reconstruction of Gaza.
