{"id":35337,"date":"2026-07-29T05:18:32","date_gmt":"2026-07-29T05:18:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/gsrra.com\/?p=35337"},"modified":"2026-07-29T05:18:32","modified_gmt":"2026-07-29T05:18:32","slug":"pakistan-punjab-to-train-10000-teachers-in-stem-green-skills","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gsrra.com\/?p=35337","title":{"rendered":"Pakistan: Punjab to train 10,000 teachers in STEM, green skills"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Punjab will train at least 10,000 teachers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) and green skills under a $100 million Asian Development Bank (ADB)-funded programme aimed at strengthening secondary education in the province.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.app.com.pk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/Wealth-Pakistan.jpg?x31808\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1231201\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Punjab will train at least 10,000 teachers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) and green skills under a $100 million Asian Development Bank (ADB)-funded programme aimed at strengthening secondary education in the province.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to official documents available with Wealth Pakistan, the Responsive, Ready and Resilient STEM Secondary Education in Punjab programme will run until June 2030.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It aims to improve access to quality STEM education, particularly for girls, while upgrading school infrastructure, laboratories and teacher training.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The programme targets an increase of at least 50,000 students in Grades 9 and 10 in participating schools, with girls accounting for at least half of the additional enrolment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It also plans to construct or renovate multipurpose STEM laboratories in at least 2,300 schools and equip them with modern software and laboratory equipment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the documents, the programme will deliver gender-sensitive and inclusive STEM and green skills training to at least 10,000 teachers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It will also establish STEM and green skills clubs, expected to benefit at least 40,000 girls in programme-supported schools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The initiative further includes strengthening school leadership, outsourcing laboratory management in at least 100 participating schools to private-sector partners, and improving learning outcomes for Grade 10 science students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The STEM programme is intended to strengthen science education and equip students with practical knowledge and skills needed for future education and employment opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Reference Link:- <a href=\"https:\/\/www.app.com.pk\/national\/punjab-to-train-10000-teachers-in-stem-green-skills\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/www.app.com.pk\/national\/punjab-to-train-10000-teachers-in-stem-green-skills\/<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Punjab will train at least 10,000 teachers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) and green skills under a $100 million Asian Development Bank (ADB)-funded programme aimed at strengthening secondary education in the province.
