Pakistani students participating in the Huawei ICT Competition 2025\u20132026 Global Final visited Huawei\u2019s renowned Shannon Exhibition Hall and the company\u2019s state-of-the-art research and development campus in Dongguan, Guangdong Province, during their stay in China for the international competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pakistani students participating in the Huawei ICT Competition 2025\u20132026 Global Final visited Huawei\u2019s renowned Shannon Exhibition Hall and the company\u2019s state-of-the-art research and development campus in Dongguan, Guangdong Province, during their stay in China for the international competition. The visit provided the young contestants with an opportunity to witness firsthand the technological innovations, research capabilities, and digital transformation achievements that have positioned China among the world\u2019s leading technology powers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The students, selected from various universities and higher educational institutions across Pakistan through Huawei\u2019s rigorous national and regional competition process, are representing the country at the 10th Huawei ICT Competition Global Final being held in Shenzhen from June 2 to 5. Nearly 600 outstanding students from more than 100 countries and regions have gathered in Shenzhen after emerging from a highly competitive selection process involving hundreds of thousands of participants worldwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During their visit to the Shannon Exhibition Hall, Huawei experts briefed the delegation on the company\u2019s latest achievements in information and communication technologies, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, digital infrastructure, smart cities, and industrial digitalization. The students were introduced to Huawei\u2019s vision for building an intelligent and connected world and learned about the role of innovation in driving sustainable economic and social development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The visit also included a tour of Huawei\u2019s Dongguan R&D Campus, one of the company\u2019s most advanced innovation centers. The sprawling campus serves as a hub for cutting-edge research, product development, and global talent cultivation. Students explored various innovation zones and gained valuable insights into how world-class technology solutions are conceived, developed, and deployed to meet evolving global needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Expressing their excitement, Nauman Sajjad, a student at Lahore Garrison University, told APP that the experience had exceeded their expectations and broadened their understanding of China\u2019s technological capabilities and modern development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cChina is completely different from what we had imagined before coming here,\u201d one participant remarked. \u201cThe level of technological advancement, infrastructure, innovation, and organization is truly impressive. Seeing these developments with our own eyes has changed our perspective,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a0Saqib Hussain, an instructor at Mehran University, Jamshoro, Sindh, noted that the visit inspired aspiring ICT professionals. \u201cThe scale of research and innovation at Huawei is remarkable. It motivates us to continue improving our technical skills and contribute to technological progress in Pakistan,\u201d he commented.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The students praised China\u2019s rapid development in diverse sectors, including digital technology, transportation, smart infrastructure, education, and industrial modernization. They observed that the country\u2019s commitment to innovation and investment in research has played a key role in its transformation into a global technology leader.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Huawei ICT Competition, launched in 2015, has grown into one of the world\u2019s largest and most influential ICT talent-development platforms. The competition aims to strengthen students\u2019 practical skills, encourage innovation, and foster international exchanges among future technology leaders. It has attracted millions of students from thousands of universities worldwide and is recognized as a flagship partner program of UNESCO\u2019s Global Skills Academy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For Pakistan\u2019s participants, the visit offered more than a competition experience. It provided an opportunity to engage with global peers, learn about emerging technologies, and witness the innovation ecosystem that supports China\u2019s digital economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Education experts accompanying the delegation said such international exposure plays an important role in developing future ICT talent and strengthening academic and technological cooperation between Pakistan and China. They emphasized that the knowledge and experiences gained by the students would contribute to enhancing innovation, entrepreneurship, and digital skills development back home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the Huawei ICT Competition Global Final continues in Shenzhen, Pakistani contestants remain focused on showcasing their technical expertise on the international stage while also benefiting from valuable learning and cultural exchanges that promote greater understanding and cooperation between the two friendly countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
