She is now doing postdoctoral research at Cambridge on ultra-thin semiconductors,\u201d Forbes wrote about Ghani on its website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cLast year, WinSci Pakistan education project, which Ghani leads, won the Nature Inspiring Women in Science award from the Est\u00e9e Lauder Companies and Springer Nature for her efforts to encourage women to pursue careers in science.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The award celebrates women advancing science and those creating pathways for girls and young women to enter Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ghani completed her PhD in the 2D Materials &amp; Devices Group at the Department of Materials Science &amp; Metallurgy, where she now works as a postdoctoral researcher focusing on wafer-scale dielectrics for atomically thin semiconductors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Her WinSci Pakistan is a non-government organization (NGO) committed to advancing science education by inspiring curiosity, fostering innovation and creating opportunities for youth to excel in science and related fields.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Other changemakers featured on the 30 Under 30 Asia 2026 list include Chinese actor Wang Yibo, Major League Baseball player Yoshinobu Yamamoto from Japan, Shannon Tan, pro golfer from Singapore, Jitendra Kumar Saini and Gouthami T S, cofounders of India\u2019s amphibious drone maker AquaAirX, Kirsten Banks, Australia-based astrophysicist and science content creator also known as AstroKirsten, and Hu Chenxu and Jiang Zheyuan, cofounders of China\u2019s Noetix Robotics Technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Reference Link:- <a href=\"https:\/\/www.arabnews.com\/node\/2645249\/pakistan\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/www.arabnews.com\/node\/2645249\/pakistan<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The profile picture of Maheera Abdul Ghani (Instagram\/File) Pakistani scientist Dr. Maheera Ghani has earned a spot on the prestigious Forbes \u201830 Under 30 Asia 2026\u2019 list, becoming one of the young changemakers recognized for driving innovation in health care and science in the region.
