(Screengrab\/PAF)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>T\u00fcrkiye praises Pakistan\u2019s role in training pilots during air chief Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu\u2019s visit<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Discussions with a Turkish defense firm center on unmanned systems, next-generation warfare<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pakistan and T\u00fcrkiye discussed expanded cooperation in advanced defense technologies, including unmanned aerial systems and aerospace innovation, Pakistan\u2019s military said on Friday, as the two allies deepen strategic coordination shaped increasingly by the demands of modern warfare.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The announcement came after Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Chief Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu held meetings in T\u00fcrkiye with the Turkish air force commander, defense minister and senior executives of Turkish drone manufacturer Baykar Technologies, according to a statement by the military\u2019s media wing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The engagements reflect growing defense collaboration between the two countries at a time when militaries around the world are investing heavily in drones, electronic warfare, cyber capabilities and integrated multi-domain operations combining air, land and digital warfare systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cChief of the Air Staff met with Mr. Selcuk Bayraktar, Chief Technology Officer of Baykar Technologies,\u201d the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe interaction focused on advancements in aerospace innovation, unmanned aerial systems and emerging technologies, reflecting the shared vision of both sides to pursue greater collaboration in next-generation defense technologies.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pakistan has increasingly emphasized that future conflicts will be shaped by unmanned systems, artificial intelligence, cyber warfare and beyond-visual-range combat capabilities, particularly after last year\u2019s conflict with India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Earlier this month, the Pakistani air chief said the country\u2019s armed forces had carried out a \u201cfull-spectrum, multi-domain operation\u201d during the May 2025 fighting with India, claiming the campaign combined cyber offensives, drones, hypersonic weapons and long-range strike systems to degrade India\u2019s military network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWhat the world witnessed in May 2025 was not achieved overnight but acquired through our transformative modernization undertaken within the past four to five years,\u201d Sidhu said in remarks this month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pakistan says its air force shot down multiple Indian fighter jets during the conflict, including French-made Rafales, and has since highlighted the role of network-centric warfare and integrated battlefield coordination in the confrontation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to Friday\u2019s statement, Sidhu\u2019s meetings in T\u00fcrkiye also focused on enhancing interoperability through joint exercises, training programs, and professional exchanges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Turkish air force commander appreciated Pakistan\u2019s support in training Turkish pilots, the statement said, highlighting an important aspect of military cooperation between the two countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In a separate meeting, Sidhu also held talks with Turkish Defense Minister Yasar Guler on expanding collaboration in training, capacity building, and aerospace-related fields.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">ISPR described the engagements as reflecting the \u201cgrowing strategic convergence\u201d between Pakistan and T\u00fcrkiye in defense and emerging technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Reference Link:- <a href=\"https:\/\/www.arabnews.com\/node\/2644571\/pakistan\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/www.arabnews.com\/node\/2644571\/pakistan<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The handout photograph released on May 22, 2026, shows Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Chief, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu (center), and Chief Technology Officer of Baykar Technologies, Selcuk Bayraktar (third right), posing for a group photo in Turkiye.
