{"id":31455,"date":"2026-04-15T08:31:18","date_gmt":"2026-04-15T08:31:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/gsrra.com\/?p=31455"},"modified":"2026-04-15T08:31:21","modified_gmt":"2026-04-15T08:31:21","slug":"canton-fair-opens-in-china-with-record-scale","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gsrra.com\/?p=31455","title":{"rendered":"Canton Fair opens in China with record scale"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/english.news.cn\/20260415\/a920617d9fe54ad3b47011699cc9c106\/20260415a920617d9fe54ad3b47011699cc9c106_XxjwshE000029_20260415_CBMFN0A001.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The 139th edition of the China Import and Export Fair, also known as the Canton Fair, opened on Wednesday in the southern Chinese city of Guangzhou, drawing a record number of over 32,000 participating enterprises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The number of exhibition zones has increased to 179, including nine new sections covering smart wearables, display technologies, consumer drones, modular houses and garden facilities, according to the organizers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As of April 9, 290 leading purchasing enterprises had confirmed their participation, marking a 30 percent year-on-year increase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Zhu Yong, head of the China Foreign Trade Center, said the new buyers primarily come from Belt and Road partner countries, with notable growth from Latin America and Africa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In line with the goal of trade-investment integration set in China&#8217;s 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-2030), the Canton Fair will build a full-life-cycle trade promotion ecosystem, Zhu added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Established in 1957, the Canton Fair is held twice a year in Guangzhou.
