Israel\u2019s Netanyahu accused Spain of waging a \u2018diplomatic war\u2019 against Israel as relations with Madrid worsen.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/a>Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has accused Spain of waging a diplomatic war against Israel and barred Madrid from participating in a coordination centre\u00a0to oversee the Gaza \u201cceasefire<\/a>\u201c.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a video statement posted on X on Friday, Netanyahu said Israel would not \u201cremain silent in the face of those who attack us\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cSpain has defamed our heroes, the soldiers of the IDF [Israeli army], the soldiers of the most moral army in the world. Therefore, I have instructed today to remove Spain\u2019s representatives from the coordination centre in Kiryat Gat, after Spain has chosen repeatedly to stand against Israel,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Foreign Minister Gideon Saar also slammed Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez and said his government had levelled \u201cblood libels\u201d at Israel and its army.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cSpain\u2019s obsessive anti-Israel bias under Sanchez\u2019s leadership is so egregious that it has lost all capability to serve a constructive role in implementing POTUS\u2019s [President of the United States] peace plan and the centre operating under it,\u201d he wrote on X.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
