Pakistan Navy has inducted the 2nd PN MILGEM Class Corvette, PNS KHAIBAR, into its fleet, marking a significant milestone in the service\u2019s modernisation and operational capabilities, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Addressing the induction ceremony, Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf stressed the importance of \u201ca strong, balanced and technologically advanced Navy\u201d to safeguard Pakistan\u2019s maritime interests and ensure the security of vital Sea Lines of Communication (SLOCs), according to a statement issued by the ISPR.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He highlighted the country\u2019s strategic location along key maritime trade and energy corridors as a key factor behind the navy\u2019s modernisation efforts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Admiral Ashraf further said the navy is being equipped with \u201cstate-of-the-art platforms and niche technologies enabling it to target critical infrastructure\/vulnerabilities and naval assets of the adversary\u201d. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the ISPR, recalling the navy\u2019s operations during Marka-e-Haq<\/em>, Admiral Ashraf stated that Pakistan Navy \u201cwas poised to sink Indian Navy Aircraft Carrier, which forced Indian Navy to remain retreated in their perceived safe havens,\u201d sending a clear message that any challenge to Pakistan\u2019s maritime security will be met decisively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Concluding his address, the naval chief extended best wishes to the crew of PNS KHAIBAR and reaffirmed Pakistan Navy\u2019s resolve \u201cto defend sovereign seas and uphold its responsibility as guardian of the maritime frontiers\u201d, the statement added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The induction of PNS KHAIBAR, along with the forthcoming HANGOR Class Submarines, marks a milestone in the navy\u2019s modernisation, enhancing operational flexibility, combat power, and strategic reach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed deep satisfaction and pride over the induction of the modern warship PNS KHAIBAR into the Pakistan Navy\u2019s fleet, according to a press release from the Prime Minister\u2019s Office (PMO).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He described the development as a milestone in enhancing Pakistan\u2019s defence capabilities and ensuring effective protection of its maritime borders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cA strong, balanced and technologically advanced navy is indispensable to safeguard national interests and ensure secure Sea Lines of Communications,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Referring to \u201cMarka-e-Haq<\/em>\u201d, he said the Pakistan Navy\u2019s professionalism and strategy forced the enemy to retreat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PM Shehbaz reaffirmed that Pakistan would take all necessary measures to protect its sovereignty and maritime interests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The prime minister said the government remains committed to equipping the Pakistan Navy in line with modern requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
