target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><\/a><strong>Praising Pakistan Air Force\u2019s (PAF) professionalism and technological advancement, Iraq on Saturday expressed keen interest in JF-17 Thunder fighter jets, and Super Mushshak trainer aircraft.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lieutenant General Staff Pilot Mohanad Ghalib Mohammed Radi Al-Asadi, Commander of the Iraqi Air Force expressed the intent in a meeting with Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Pakistan Air Force who called on him during his official visit to Iraq, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a bilateral military cooperation, with emphasis on joint training, capacity building and improving operational cooperation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe Air Chief highlighted the deep-rooted religious, cultural, and historical ties between Pakistan and Iraq and reaffirmed PAF\u2019s commitment to support the Iraqi Air Force in training and capacity development,\u201d the military\u2019s media wing said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Both commanders agreed to pursue joint exercises and training initiatives to strengthen interoperability, said the ISPR.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Moreover, on his arrival, Marshal Zaheer was accorded a Guard of Honour at Iraqi Air Force Headquarters, symbolizing the strong bond of mutual respect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Earlier, Bangladeshi Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan also&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.brecorder.com\/news\/40400876\/bangladesh-eyes-jf-17-thunder-purchase-as-air-force-chief-meets-paf-chief\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">praised PAF\u2019s combat&nbsp;<\/a>record and expressed interest in benefiting from its operational expertise, seeking assistance in maintenance support for Bangladesh Air Force\u2019s aging fleet and integration of air defence radar systems to enhance air surveillance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is pertinent to mention that&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.brecorder.com\/news\/40401189\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are in talks<\/a>&nbsp;to convert about $2 billion of Saudi loans into a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.brecorder.com\/news\/40400876\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><u>JF-17 fighter jet&nbsp;<\/u><\/a>deal, deepening military cooperation months after the two nations signed a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.brecorder.com\/news\/40383204\/pakistan-saudi-arabia-sign-landmark-strategic-mutual-defense-agreement\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">mutual defence pact<\/a>&nbsp;last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As per sources, =the discussions were limited to the provision of JF-17 Thunder fighter jets, the light combat aircraft jointly developed by&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.brecorder.com\/news\/40401171\/joint-counter-terrorism-efforts-china-says-willing-to-boost-cooperation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><u>Pakistan and
