\u201cWe continue to witness increasing attacks by the Israeli military, resulting in the killing of civilians and destruction of civilian objects in Lebanon<\/a>, coupled with alarming threats of a wider, intensified offensive,\u201d said Thameen Al-Kheetan, a spokesperson for the UN human rights office, at a Geneva press briefing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Lebanon has accused Israel of violating the ceasefire agreement, which sought to bring to an end more than a year of hostilities with Hezbollah, by continuing its strikes<\/a> and maintaining forces inside its territory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Israel has said Hezbollah<\/a> is working to rebuild its military capabilities, accusing the Iran-backed group of breaking the ceasefire terms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n According to the Lebanese health ministry, more than 330 people have been killed and 945 injured since the ceasefire took effect<\/a> on 27 November last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Kheetan said the UN had verified that at least 127 civilians were killed in that period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n He highlighted in particular last week\u2019s Israeli strike on the Ain al-Hilweh camp<\/a> for Palestinian refugees in southern Lebanon, which killed 13 people \u2013 11 of them children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n On Friday, Israel<\/a> said it had targeted \u201cterrorists\u201d from the Palestinian militant group Hamas, allied with Hezbollah, in that strike.<\/p>\n\n\n\n But Kheetan told reporters in Geneva: \u201cAll the fatalities we have documented as a result of this strike were civilians, raising serious concerns that the Israeli military\u2019s attack may have violated international humanitarian law principles on the conduct of hostilities.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n He added: \u201cThere must be prompt and impartial investigations into the Ain al-Hilweh strike, as well as all other incidents involving possible violations of international humanitarian law by all parties, both before and after the ceasefire.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThose responsible must be brought to justice.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Kheetan said continuing Israeli attacks in Lebanon had destroyed and damaged civilian infrastructure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThey have also severely hampered reconstruction efforts and attempts by internally displaced people to go back to their homes in southern Lebanon,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The rights office said more than 64,000 people, mainly from southern Lebanon, remained displaced in other parts of the country after last year\u2019s war.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Kheetan said: \u201cIsrael started constructing a wall crossing into Lebanese territory that makes 4,000 sq metres inaccessible to the population, thus affecting people\u2019s right to return to their lands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cAll those internally displaced must be able to go back to their homes, and reconstruction should be supported, not hampered,\u201d he said, urging all parties to comply with the ceasefire \u201cin good faith\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n![\"People](\"https:\/\/i.guim.co.uk\/img\/media\/385603034f5395f4da886403d95c03a158a316f9\/0_0_4928_3280\/master\/4928.jpg?width=445&dpr=1&s=none&crop=none\")
