{"id":25433,"date":"2025-10-17T04:08:09","date_gmt":"2025-10-17T04:08:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/gsrra.com\/?p=25433"},"modified":"2025-10-17T04:08:14","modified_gmt":"2025-10-17T04:08:14","slug":"cda-stza-partner-to-develop-islamabads-first-technology-zone","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gsrra.com\/?p=25433","title":{"rendered":"CDA, STZA Partner to Develop Islamabad\u2019s First Technology Zone"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/propakistani.pk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/STZA.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The Capital Development Authority (CDA) and the Special Technology Zones Authority (STZA) have formed a joint working group to plan the establishment of a Special Technology Zone in Islamabad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The decision was made during a high-level meeting chaired by CDA Chairman and Chief Commissioner Islamabad Muhammad Ali Randhawa and STZA Chairman Azfar Manzoor at CDA Headquarters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Senior officials, including Dr. Khalid Hafiz, Member Planning and Design CDA, and Aamir Saleemi, Executive Director STZA, also attended.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Under the arrangement, STZA will act as the regulator, licensing high-tech companies and investors, while CDA will serve as the development agency responsible for infrastructure and urban planning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The joint group will meet regularly to review financial and operational frameworks and finalize proposals for submission to the Federal Government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Officials said the zone will attract hi-tech firms, startups, and innovation-driven enterprises, offering space for research, development, and manufacturing under a master plan that integrates technology and production areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Incentives such as tax rebates and duty exemptions are also under consideration to draw both local and foreign investment, once approved by the Federal Government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Chairman Randhawa said turning Islamabad into a \u201ctechnopolis city\u201d through this project is among CDA\u2019s top priorities.
