Photo: IAEA<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>Pakistan and the International Atomic Energy Agency have formalised a new cooperation agreement\u2014the Country Programme Framework (CPF) 2026\u201131\u2014aimed at advancing nuclear science and technology for socio\u2011economic development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC) Chairman Dr Raja Ali Raza Anwar and IAEA Deputy Director General and Head of the Department of Technical Cooperation&nbsp;Hua Liu were the signatories of the agreement signed on Wednesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The CPF will guide technical cooperation between Pakistan and the IAEA, focusing on several priority sectors. With assistance from the IAEA, he said, Pakistan will continue to employ modern technologies to advance in areas such as food security, health, energy, and environmental protection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Founded in 1957, Pakistan has been an IAEA Member State for decades.
