{"id":22821,"date":"2025-08-08T19:44:55","date_gmt":"2025-08-08T19:44:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/gsrra.com\/?p=22821"},"modified":"2025-08-08T19:44:57","modified_gmt":"2025-08-08T19:44:57","slug":"pakistan-china-to-deepen-cooperation-in-electric-vehicle-sector","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gsrra.com\/?p=22821","title":{"rendered":"Pakistan, China to Deepen Cooperation in Electric Vehicle Sector"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/propakistani.pk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/china-study.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Federal Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal has highlighted electric vehicles (EVs) as a key area of future cooperation between Pakistan and China.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Answering a CEN reporter\u2019s question at a press conference at the Pakistani Embassy in Beijing, the minister noted the growing importance of EV technology and reaffirmed Pakistan\u2019s interest in partnering with Chinese firms to develop this sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cEVs have become a very important segment,\u201d he said, emphasizing Pakistan\u2019s desire to benefit from China\u2019s technological advancements, including the development of next-generation batteries such as sodium-ion batteries, which offer advantages over traditional lithium technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The minister announced that the Pakistan-China Business Conference scheduled for September 04 in China will serve as a platform to foster such partnerships. \u201cWe are expecting over 250 companies from Pakistan and more than 200 from China,\u201d he said. \u201cThere will be industry matchmaking across sectors such as electric vehicles, solar energy, chemicals, and agriculture.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He stressed that establishing EV manufacturing in Pakistan offers cost advantages for Chinese companies and will help Pakistan reduce dependence on fossil fuels. He welcomed Chinese investment in localized EV production, calling it a strategic step toward energy efficiency, job creation, and sustainable development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Notably, Pakistan\u2019s new National Electric Vehicle Policy 2025\u20132030 mandates that 30 percent of new vehicle sales be electric by 2030 and aims for net-zero transport by 2060.
