The application was filed just over two months after the Hamas-led attacks of October 7, 2023. Although the court has not yet ruled on the merits of the charge, it has issued a series of binding provisional measures, including repeated directives to ensure the unimpeded delivery of humanitarian aid into Gaza. These interim orders reflect the court\u2019s preliminary assessment that a \u201cplausible\u201d risk of genocide exists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"168\" src=\"https:\/\/gsrra.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/image-66.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-21843\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In the months since, conditions in Gaza have grown increasingly dire. In March, Israel&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehindu.com\/news\/international\/why-did-netanyahu-end-the-gaza-ceasefire\/article69347225.ece\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">violated a six-week ceasefire&nbsp;<\/a>and resumed its assault on the besieged enclave. Entire neighbourhoods have been reduced to rubble, families decimated, and access to food, water, and electricity remains critically limited.&nbsp;As the humanitarian crisis worsens, a global consensus is emerging.
