The events of May 7, 2025, have redefined the strategic calculus in South Asia and exposed an alarming truth: the long-standing theory of nuclear deterrence has failed in the face of ideological extremism and fascist ambition. This sobering reality was brought to light when India, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, launched an unprovoked, large-scale military assault against Pakistan\u2014a nuclear-armed neighbor. This act was not a miscalculation. It was a conscious and dangerous policy decision rooted in ultra-nationalism, expansionism, and a thirst for regional domination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

India: The Aggressor, the Instigator, the Threat<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

India\u2019s conduct in this crisis leaves no room for ambiguity. It is India that fired the first shot. It is India that orchestrated a false flag operation in Pahalgam on April 22, 2025, fabricating a terrorist attack and blaming Pakistan with indecent haste and no evidence. It is India that refused an impartial international investigation\u2014because truth was never its aim. Instead, the Modi regime used the incident to ignite public outrage, mobilize military forces, and manufacture consent for war.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This pattern is neither new nor isolated. The Modi government has, time and again, used fear, hatred, and false narratives to distract from domestic unrest, silence dissent, and pursue its hegemonic ambitions. Under Modi\u2019s rule, India has abandoned democratic pluralism and embraced a radical Hindutva ideology that seeks to marginalize minorities, suppress opposition, and expand territorial claims.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Modi\u2019s rise to power was steeped in communal violence. His political career was catapulted by the 2002 Gujarat pogrom, where over a thousand Muslims were massacred under his watch. Since then, his administration has continued to polarize Indian society, crush dissent, and project force beyond its borders. From the illegal abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir to the Citizenship Amendment Act and the targeting of journalists and activists, Modi\u2019s India has grown increasingly authoritarian and intolerant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The May 7 assault on Pakistan represents the external extension of this fascist project. The same hands that demolished the Babri Mosque and repressed Kashmir have now shed the blood of innocent Pakistanis. Civilian populations, religious sites, and critical infrastructure were deliberately targeted. Water reservoirs were bombed. Infants and schoolchildren were among the dead. These were not acts of war; they were acts of terrorism perpetrated by a state that has embraced violence as a tool of policy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pakistan\u2019s Response: Rational, Restrained, and Responsible<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Confronted with this unprecedented aggression, Pakistan demonstrated remarkable restraint. Even as Indian warplanes crossed borders and missiles fell on civilian homes, Pakistan reached out\u2014not for retaliation, but for reason. The government of Pakistan immediately launched a diplomatic initiative, informing world capitals and engaging international institutions to halt the aggression and prevent escalation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pakistan\u2019s appeal was grounded in international law and moral clarity. We urged the United Nations and all peace-loving nations to intervene, to hold India accountable, and to stop a fascist regime from dragging the region into nuclear catastrophe. We reminded the world that Pakistan does not seek war but stands ready to defend itself with dignity and strength.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yet, when all peaceful avenues were exhausted and India continued its rampage, Pakistan invoked its legitimate right to self-defense under Article 51 of the UN Charter. On May 10, Pakistan launched a brief, calculated, and proportionate military operation. The objective was simple: to convey a clear message\u2014Pakistan may seek peace, but it will not accept aggression.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our response was a model of military ethics. Only military targets were struck. Civilian populations, religious places, and economic infrastructure were explicitly avoided. This precise, symbolic action was not retaliation; it was deterrence\u2014firm, moral, and restrained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Terrorist State by Conduct and Ideology<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

India\u2019s actions in this conflict\u2014and those leading up to it\u2014fit the definition of state-sponsored terrorism. When a government uses orchestrated violence, disinformation, and targeted killing of civilians to achieve political ends, it ceases to be a democracy and begins to resemble a rogue state. Modi\u2019s India, by these standards, has chosen the path of terror.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From orchestrating false flag operations and blaming Pakistan without evidence, to launching unprovoked attacks on civilians, India\u2019s leadership has shown utter contempt for international law, human rights, and the sanctity of life. Its ideological obsession with Hindutva\u2014a supremacist doctrine that dehumanizes minorities and glorifies violence\u2014has now led it to external aggression.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What the world witnessed on May 7 was not merely a war between two countries\u2014it was an assault by an extremist regime against the principles of peace, justice, and humanity. India, under Modi, stands exposed as the real threat to regional and global stability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Diplomatic Front: Pakistan\u2019s Moral High Ground<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite the violence unleashed upon it, Pakistan continued to act with maturity. Our diplomacy bore fruit. Many nations around the world rejected India\u2019s narrative and refused to endorse its actions. Independent observers, analysts, and human rights groups questioned the suspicious timing and unverified claims surrounding the Pahalgam incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

China, Pakistan\u2019s all-weather friend, offered firm diplomatic and political backing. Turkey, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the UAE, Bangladesh, and Azerbaijan joined the chorus in support of Pakistan\u2019s call for peace and justice. Their solidarity was a reflection of Pakistan\u2019s principled stance and responsible behavior.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Crucially, the United States under President Donald Trump played a constructive mediating role. His administration helped broker a ceasefire and facilitated a diplomatic breakthrough, highlighting once again that responsible international engagement can prevent disaster\u2014if supported by truth and restraint.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kashmir: The Root of Conflict<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This crisis has laid bare a painful reality: the unresolved status of Jammu and Kashmir continues to haunt South Asia. The region remains under illegal occupation, with its people denied basic rights and dignity. As long as Kashmiris are not granted their right to self-determination, instability will persist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pakistan has always advocated for a peaceful and just resolution to the Kashmir conflict, in accordance with United Nations Security Council resolutions. We believe that the people of Kashmir, who have suffered decades of repression, deserve justice, peace, and the freedom to determine their future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Crossroads of History<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The crisis of May 2025 is not just another military flare-up\u2014it is a moment of reckoning for South Asia and the global community. It exposed the dangers of fascism in power, the fragility of peace in a nuclear world, and the moral strength of principled restraint.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pakistan responded not with vengeance, but with vision. Not with fury, but with focus. We demonstrated that a responsible nuclear state does not seek war\u2014but it does not surrender either.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

India, under the extremist leadership of Narendra Modi, has chosen a dark path. A path of violence, falsehoods, and terrorism disguised as patriotism. If it continues down this road, it will not only endanger its neighbors but also destroy its own moral standing and future prospects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The people of South Asia deserve better. They deserve leadership rooted in humanity, not hatred. In dialogue, not deception. In peace, not propaganda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let this moment serve as a turning point\u2014not just in the trajectory of Pakistan-India relations, but in the collective journey of this region toward lasting peace, justice, and shared prosperity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
