{"id":15229,"date":"2025-02-19T06:04:45","date_gmt":"2025-02-19T06:04:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/gsrra.com\/?p=15229"},"modified":"2025-02-19T06:04:52","modified_gmt":"2025-02-19T06:04:52","slug":"pakistan-air-force-to-launch-new-radar-programs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gsrra.com\/?p=15229","title":{"rendered":"Pakistan Air Force to Launch New Radar Programs"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Pakistan Air Force\u2019s (PAF) National Aerospace Science &amp; Technology Park (NASTP) has unveiled plans for nine new radar and sensor programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These include the development of a passive radar, a multi-function radar, and an airborne early warning (AEW) radar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This announcement came through a promotional PAF video highlighting President Asif Ali Zardari\u2019s visit to a NASTP facility. Alongside these new projects, NASTP has also upgraded more than 40 radars for the PAF, Pakistan Army (PA), Pakistan Navy (PN), and international clients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since the mid-2010s, Pakistan has been working to enhance its capabilities in radar and sensor development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One major initiative was the local upgrade of Siemens&nbsp;<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/propakistani.pk\/price\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Mobile<\/a>&nbsp;Pulse Doppler Radar (MPDR) systems, which included integrating solid transmitters from Germany\u2019s Hensoldt in 2019. This helped transition legacy mechanically scanned radars into phased array systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By 2024, NASTP introduced the SR-3D, a short-range S-band air defense radar, with a longer-range variant expected by 2026.
