{"id":14475,"date":"2025-02-04T03:52:50","date_gmt":"2025-02-04T03:52:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/gsrra.com\/?p=14475"},"modified":"2025-02-04T03:52:51","modified_gmt":"2025-02-04T03:52:51","slug":"uzbek-investors-interested-in-investment-in-balochistan-says-envoy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gsrra.com\/?p=14475","title":{"rendered":"Uzbek investors interested in investment in Balochistan, says envoy"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Uzbekistan amba\u00adssador to Pakistan, Ali Sher, has reaffirmed his country\u2019s commitment to strengthening\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dawn.com\/news\/1887031\/pakistan-uzbekistan-to-boost-trade-ties\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">trade relations<\/a>\u00a0with Pakistan and stressed that Uzbek investors are keen to explore investment opportunities in Pakistan, particularly Balochistan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He made these remarks in a meeting with a delegation of the Quetta Chamber of Commerce and Industry (QCCI), headed by Haji Muhammad Ayub Mariani, President of QCCI, and Senior Vice President Haji Akhtar Kakar in Islamabad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Uzbek ambassador extended an invitation to Balochistan\u2019s business community to participate in an exhibition showcasing Uzbek products. The event is scheduled to take place in Lahore in the current month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The QCCI leaders highlighted vast investment opportunities in Balochistan, particularly in agriculture, mining, and livestock.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They expressed interest in Uzbekistan\u2019s collaboration in modernising Balochistan\u2019s mining sector and urged for exchange of trade delegations to further enhance bilateral trade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They noted that Pakistan\u2019s current exports to Uzbekistan stand at approximately $150 million, while imports range between $300m and $350m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Both sides stressed the need for increasing these figures to meet evolving trade demands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ambassador Sher also extended an invitation for a business delegation from Balochistan to visit Uzbekistan to explore investment opportunities and engage with the Uzbek business community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The QCCI officials welcomed the invitation and confirmed their participation in the Lahore exhibition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, they accepted the ambassador\u2019s invitation to visit Uzbekistan after Eidul Fitr, where they will visit Samarkand, Bukhara, and Termez before meeting business leaders in Tashkent to finalise trade agreements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Reference Link:- <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dawn.com\/news\/1889455\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/www.dawn.com\/news\/1889455<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Uzbekistan amba\u00adssador to Pakistan, Ali Sher, has reaffirmed his country\u2019s commitment to strengthening\u00a0trade relations\u00a0with Pakistan and stressed that Uzbek investors are keen to explore investment opportunities in Pakistan, particularly Balochistan.
