National Skills University Islamabad (NSU) has achieved candidacy for the esteemed \u201cCommitted to Excellence\u201d certificate and badge from the International Self-Assessment Tool for Centres of Vocational Excellence (ISATCOVE).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This prestigious recognition, endorsed by the European Commission and executed by the European Training Foundation (ETF), places NSU among a select group of institutions dedicated to achieving global standards in vocational education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a congratulatory letter to NSU Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Mohammad Mukhtar, the university was commended for completing the ISATCOVE self-assessment process and for its dedication to advancing vocational excellence. The letter stated:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe Committed to Excellence certificate and badge will recognize your school\u2019s effort in actively engaging in ISATCOVE self-assessment to enhance your level of vocational excellence. This recognition is designed to encourage a culture of continuous improvement, helping institutions identify areas that need development and take meaningful steps toward achieving excellence in vocational education.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Launched in 2023, ISATCOVE aims to elevate global standards in vocational education and training (VET). By 2024-25, the initiative expanded to include a select group of VET providers, offering a comprehensive framework that includes training, guidance, mentoring, and support for planning, execution, results analysis, and actionable improvement strategies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

VC Dr. Mukhtar expressed his gratitude to NSU faculty members, particularly Prof. Dr. Ishtiaq Ahmad and Ms. Spogmai Shahab, as well as the entire team, for their tireless efforts over the past six months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis milestone highlights NSU\u2019s unwavering commitment to fostering excellence in technical and vocational education. It is not just a recognition but an encouragement to continue setting global benchmarks,\u201d said Dr. Mukhtar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to a press release, NSU\u2019s recognition under ISATCOVE coincides with its efforts to expand international collaborations. As a member of the UNESCO-UNEVOC International Centre for Technical and Vocational Education and Training, NSU actively promotes innovation, shares best practices, and strengthens global networks in vocational education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
