{"id":13512,"date":"2025-01-19T13:00:40","date_gmt":"2025-01-19T13:00:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/gsrra.com\/?p=13512"},"modified":"2025-01-19T13:00:41","modified_gmt":"2025-01-19T13:00:41","slug":"pakistan-navy-takes-lead-over-india-in-aip-submarine-technology","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gsrra.com\/?p=13512","title":{"rendered":"Pakistan navy takes lead over India in AIP submarine technology"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong><em>The Hangor-class submarines, manufactured in China, are expected to join the Pakistan Navy in the early 2030s<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i.tribune.com.pk\/media\/images\/31737223558-0\/31737223558-0.jpg\" alt=\"pakistan navy takes lead over india in aip submarine technology\" title=\"pakistan navy takes lead over india in aip submarine technology\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>Pakistan navy takes lead over India in AIP submarine technology<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><audio preload=\"metadata\" src=\"https:\/\/i.tribune.com.pk\/attachments\/speech_20250118180650467-94Xi5.mp3\"><\/audio>Pakistan&#8217;s navy has taken a significant lead over India in the field of Air-Independent Propulsion (AIP) technology, with further advancements expected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to reports, the Pakistan Navy has surpassed the Indian Navy in adopting AIP technology, with Chinese-built Hangor-class submarines set to join its fleet according to schedule.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>India\u2019s recent addition of the sixth and final submarine in the P-75 Scorpene project, along with a stealth frigate and guided missile destroyer, is still behind Pakistan\u2019s capabilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite this, India\u2019s naval fleet remains without any submarines equipped with modern technology, while Pakistan has already integrated three French-made Agosta-90B submarines (PNS Khalid, Saad, and Hamza) into its fleet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Hangor-class submarines, manufactured in China, are expected to join the Pakistan Navy in the early 2030s, bringing the total number of AIP-equipped submarines to 11.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These submarines are expected to significantly enhance Pakistan\u2019s underwater naval capabilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pakistan\u2019s naval expansion plan includes an increase in its fleet to 50 warships, which will comprise 20 major vessels, frigates, and corvettes.
