GB was also\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/edition.cnn.com\/travel\/best-destinations-to-visit-2025\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">listed<\/a>\u00a0among the top 25 destinations worth visiting in 2025 curated by\u00a0<em>CNN<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the list,&nbsp;<em>CNN Travel<\/em>&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dawn.com\/news\/1882850\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said<\/a>, \u201cThe Gilgit-Baltistan region in the Karakoram Mountains isn\u2019t the easiest place to get to \u2014 flight schedules can be unreliable, roads can be blocked off seasonally \u2014 but it has more tantalising peaks than a lemon meringue pie.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>CNN Travel<\/em>&nbsp;added that hiking in GB \u201cmakes the Himalayas look like a traipse in Central Park\u201d but added that travelling alone is \u201cnot an option\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>GB is a big place and there are many beautiful places to visit in it. It\u2019s also not the only picturesque place worth visiting in Pakistan. Here\u2019s a list of five beautiful destinations that should definitely be on your travel list this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a href=\"https:\/\/images.dawn.com\/news\/1193115#1-malam-jabba\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><\/a>1. Malam Jabba<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dawn.com\/primary\/2025\/01\/04155140de83244.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Queenie Sheikh in a 2023&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/images.dawn.com\/news\/1192027\/chasing-views-and-chai-a-remarkable-high-tea-experience-in-malam-jabba\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">article<\/a>&nbsp;for&nbsp;<em>Images<\/em>&nbsp;wrote, \u201cMalam Jabba holds a magical charm. As Swat Valley\u2019s renowned ski destination, its elevation of 9,199 feet is often wrapped in mist and fog, which feel more welcoming than eerie.\u201d What\u2019s more, guests can also visit the Pearl Continental in Malam Jabba and experience the scenery from chairlifts, followed by the hotel\u2019s high tea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a href=\"https:\/\/images.dawn.com\/news\/1193115#2-hunza\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><\/a>2. Hunza<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dawn.com\/primary\/2025\/01\/04155141d190da4.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The Hunza Valley is one of the most popular locations in GB, and for all the right reasons. If you\u2019re travelling within Pakistan, consider going by car and enjoying the views. After her 2017 trip, Sahar Habib&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/images.dawn.com\/news\/1176536\/my-magical-holiday-in-hunza-will-inspire-you-to-hit-the-road\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">told<\/a>&nbsp;<em>Images<\/em>, \u201cIt\u2019s a completely different experience when you drive right through the mountains along the Karakoram Highway. This region is ridiculously beautiful and the pictures really don\u2019t do it justice. Just know that if it looks impressive in a picture, it\u2019s 10 times more picturesque in real life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe stayed at the Hunza Serena Inn, which has beautiful views of the surrounding valley and mountains everywhere you look, and a gorgeous view of Baltit Fort in the distance. At night, there is none of the noise and pollution of the big city, the clear skies are full of stars and music carries over from nearby villages.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a href=\"https:\/\/images.dawn.com\/news\/1193115#3-chitral\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><\/a>3. Chitral<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dawn.com\/primary\/2025\/01\/04155140c942c96.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The city of Chitral, located in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, was once known as&nbsp;<em>Paristan<\/em>&nbsp;or the land of the land of fairies, Mariam Sarah Javid&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dawn.com\/news\/1841890\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said<\/a>&nbsp;in a 2024 piece for&nbsp;<em>Prism<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cSet against the backdrop of snow-capped mountains, it is no surprise that the rose-filled valley in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province is believed to be inhabited by mythical creatures such as fairies and dragons [\u2026] From genuine smiles, and fluffy walnut parathas with fresh goat cheese to the myths of fairy princesses and breathtaking views, Chitral makes a place for itself in the hearts of travellers, its mountains beckoning them to visit again.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a href=\"https:\/\/images.dawn.com\/news\/1193115#4-hingol-national-park\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><\/a>4. Hingol National Park<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dawn.com\/primary\/2025\/01\/04155140261d202.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Many have waxed lyrical about the beauty of Pakistan\u2019s northern areas, however, we don\u2019t hear enough about Balochistan. As Noman Ansari&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/images.dawn.com\/news\/1173775\/travel-under-the-balochistan-sun\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">wrote<\/a>&nbsp;for&nbsp;<em>Images<\/em>&nbsp;in 2015, \u201cThe real stars of this earthy canvas are our rocky surroundings, which rise from the ground to imposing dimensions. Sadh Belo<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dawn.com\/primary\/2025\/01\/0415514032b5176.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Activist Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Jr highlighted that travelling to Pakistan did not mean going to Hunza exclusively \u2014 and we couldn\u2019t agree more. \u201cOur country is deserts, mangroves, the sea, forests and harsh beauty,\u201d he&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/dawn_images\/p\/C16eCRNMOSJ\/?img_index=2\">wrote<\/a>&nbsp;on Instagram, listing places in Sindh that were also just as beautiful as the northern areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One such place is Sadh Belo, an island in the Indus River near Sukkur, and is famed for its highly revered Hindu temples, including Teerath Asthan, the largest Hindu temple in Pakistan. The entire area is stunningly scenic, with white marble temples sitting along the riverbanks.
