{"id":12360,"date":"2024-12-29T02:27:01","date_gmt":"2024-12-29T02:27:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/gsrra.com\/?p=12360"},"modified":"2024-12-29T02:27:38","modified_gmt":"2024-12-29T02:27:38","slug":"pnra-approves-pakistans-largest-nuclear-power-plant-for-construction","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gsrra.com\/?p=12360","title":{"rendered":"PNRA Approves Pakistan\u2019s Largest Nuclear Power Plant for Construction"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Pakistan Nuclear Regulatory Authority (PNRA) has granted the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC) a construction license for the Chashma Nuclear Power Plant Unit 5 (C-5) in Mianwali, officials announced on Friday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>PAEC submitted its application for the license in April, accompanied by a Preliminary Safety Assessment Report (PSAR) and additional documents addressing key aspects such as nuclear safety, radiation protection, emergency preparedness, waste management, and security protocols.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After a detailed review and verification of compliance with national and international safety standards, PNRA approved the license.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>C-5 is a state-of-the-art, third-generation Pressurized Water Reactor (PWR) based on the Chinese Hualong (HPR1000) design.
