{"id":12056,"date":"2024-12-23T09:34:06","date_gmt":"2024-12-23T09:34:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/gsrra.com\/?p=12056"},"modified":"2024-12-23T09:34:08","modified_gmt":"2024-12-23T09:34:08","slug":"699-containers-from-pakistan-arrive-at-chattogram-in-second-shipment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gsrra.com\/?p=12056","title":{"rendered":"699 containers from Pakistan arrive at Chattogram in second shipment"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong><em>The latest shipment brings raw materials for the garment industry, minerals, and refined sugar, among other goods<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.bdnews24.com\/bdnews24\/media\/bangla\/imgAll\/2024July\/chittagong-port-050422-01-1719857833.jpg\" alt=\"699 containers arrive from Pakistan on cargo ship\" title=\"699 containers arrive from Pakistan on cargo ship\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>A Panamanian-flagged cargo ship, MV Yuan Xiang Fa Zhan, has brought 699 containers to Chattogram Port in its second shipment from Pakistan&#8217;s Karachi Port.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The vessel, carrying 825 TEUs (Twenty-Foot Equivalent Units), docked at Chattogram&#8217;s outer anchorage on Saturday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The port\u2019s Secretary Omar Faruk confirmed that container unloading will begin after the ship docks at the port&#8217;s jetty on Sunday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During its previous trip, 370 containers arrived, of which 297 were from Karachi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dubai-based container shipping operator Feeder Lines DMCC has launched this new service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Regensea Lines Limited, a subsidiary of Karnaphuli Limited, is the local agent for this service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Regensea Lines Executive Director Anis Ud Dowla told bdnews24.com that the ship had arrived at Chattogram&#8217;s outer anchorage carrying 126 containers from Dubai&#8217;s Jebel Ali Port and 699 from Karachi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The cargo includes raw materials for the garment industry, dolomite, refined sugar, minerals, soda ash, fabric rolls, dates, lubricating oil, machinery parts, and other goods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The first direct container shipment from Karachi to Chattogram arrived in November last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The vessel now follows a regular route from Dubai\u2019s Jebel Ali port via Karachi to Chattogram and will return to Dubai after visiting ports in Indonesia, Malaysia, and India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Shipping industry insiders said it takes about 38 to 42 days for the vessel to complete the round trip from Dubai to Karachi, Chattogram, and back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Shipping agents are optimistic that, depending on trade growth between the two countries, the number of ships on this route may increase in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Reference Link:- <a href=\"https:\/\/bdnews24.com\/bangladesh\/6060c758a05d\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/bdnews24.com\/bangladesh\/6060c758a05d<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The latest shipment brings raw materials for the garment industry, minerals, and refined sugar, among other goods A Panamanian-flagged cargo ship, MV Yuan Xiang Fa Zhan, has brought 699 containers to Chattogram Port in its second shipment from Pakistan&#8217;s Karachi Port.
