Xi inspected south China’s Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region on returning to China after a state visit to Vietnam. He went to the capital city of Nanning and Laibin City, where he visited places including the China-ASEAN Information Harbor Co., Ltd., a multi-ethnic community and a sugarcane base. During the inspection, Xi said the coastal region should promote an ocean-oriented economy and further open up to enhance connectivity between China and ASEAN countries. He also called on the region, which has the largest population of ethnic minorities in China, to further enhance ethnic unity.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n
