In a continuous effort to redefine communication standards and elevate customer experiences, Telenor Pakistan, in collaboration with Transsion, has launched Voice over Wi-Fi (VoWiFi) services.

This innovative service enables Telenor customers to make and receive calls over Wi-Fi networks using their mobile number, offering a robust and reliable alternative to traditional mobile signals.

Designed to address ongoing connectivity challenges, VoWiFi ensures uninterrupted communication in environments with weak or no mobile network coverage, including basements, remote locations, or during temporary disruptions to mobile services. This service represents a significant step forward in enhancing communication quality, reliability, and accessibility, especially in areas traditionally underserved by conventional mobile networks, empowering societies with connectivity that matters most.

“We are thrilled to introduce VoWiFi, a transformative service that reshapes the future of voice calling,” said Waqas Aman Ullah, Senior VP Sales & Customer Care at Telenor Pakistan. “At Telenor Pakistan, we are committed to empowering our customers with innovative solutions that enhance connectivity and make their lives easier. This service is not only about improving call quality and reliability, but it also provides a future-proof communication solution that adapts to the evolving needs of our customers. VoWiFi is a testament to our dedication to delivering exceptional customer experiences, and it reflects our ongoing commitment to staying at the forefront of technological advancements in the telecom industry.”

This cutting-edge solution marks a major advancement in connectivity across the country, setting a new benchmark for reliability, convenience, and seamless communication. Currently, VoWiFi services are available on compatible Infinix handsets. Telenor Pakistan is actively collaborating with other OEMs to expand support to additional devices in the upcoming phase – ensuring broader accessibility and enhanced user experience.

This phased rollout demonstrates Telenor Pakistan’s continued commitment to broadening access to advanced communication technologies, offering future-ready solutions designed to meet the diverse needs of its customers across Pakistan.
