The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates//condemns the provocative media process and affirms that Jerusalem is the key to war and peace in the region
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemns in the strongest terms the provocative so-called “Flag March” under the supervision and support of the Israeli government, and the accompanying transformation of the occupied city of Jerusalem into a military barracks, the attacks on Palestinian citizens and their property, as well as on journalists, and the campaigns of insults and racist and anti-Semitic inflammatory slogans launched by participants from extremist Jewish groups. And extremist ministers and members of the Knesset, in addition to performing Talmudic rituals, provocative dances and chants, and raising flags inside the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque, in a dangerous violation of the sanctity of the mosque, and considers it an integral part of the escalation of the Israeli aggression against the Holy City, its citizens, and its Christian and Islamic sanctities, in light of the continuation of the genocidal war on our people. In the Gaza Strip, and the escalation of crimes and violations by the occupation forces and colonialist militias in the occupied West Bank, with the aim of blowing up the conflict arena and the entire region in the service of current expansionist colonial projects.
The Ministry affirms that organizing this march annually is conclusive evidence for those who want to understand from the international community that Jerusalem is usurped and not unified, and that it is an integral part of the occupied Palestinian territory and the eternal capital of the State of Palestine.
While the Ministry holds the Israeli government fully and directly responsible for the results of its brutal and continuing aggression against our people, it calls for urgent international intervention to put an end to the terrorism of the occupying state and force it to comply with the resolutions of international legitimacy and international law.
