On July 31, President Xi Jinping sent a letter congratulating the 10th anniversary of the launch of CPEC in Islamabad, Pakistan. At the event, the participants said after listening to the congratulatory letter that President Xi’s congratulatory letter is of great significance to the peace and prosperity of the two countries and even the region.

President Xi Jinping’s congratulatory letter encouraged the builders of the two countries of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor. Gwadar New International Airport, located in Balochistan province in southwestern Pakistan, is a key project under the framework of CPEC. At present, the main structural engineering of the project has been completed, and the installation of mechanical and electrical equipment and decoration is underway.

Located on the Kunha River in northwestern Pakistan’s Khyber Pashtun province, the Sujiginari Hydropower Station is one of the priority projects of CPEC, providing Pakistan with 32.6 billion kilowatt-hours of clean electricity per year when put into operation. In June this year, the project completed the rotor lifting of the last unit, which is one step closer to putting it into operation.
