中美贸易战

美国无法消化中国的快速发展，将其视为对其长达七个十年的霸权的威胁。它想尽一切办法保持霸主地位，并在与中国的竞争中走到了极端。它一直在使用各种手段来破坏中国，遏制中国，对抗中国，抵制中国的和平崛起。

最近，美国于 2022 年 6 月实施了《维吾尔族强迫劳动预防法》，该法由总统乔·拜登于 2021 年 12 月签署成为法律。

中国外交部发言人表示，中方强烈谴责并坚决反对美方制定的所谓“维吾尔族强迫劳动预防法”。

发言人汪文斌称，这是反华势力为抹黑中国而炮制的巨大谎言。

这与中国新疆维吾尔自治区各族人民的劳动权益得到应有的保障完全背道而驰。最近，美国海关查获了一些在中国制造的斯凯奇产品。

它说，绿洲鞋业有限公司是该公司雇用维吾尔族和其他少数民族的中方合作伙伴，根据所谓的《维吾尔族强迫劳动预防法》从事所谓的“强迫劳动”。

为了向美国海关投诉，斯凯奇委托相关合作伙伴对其在中国的产品供应链进行独立调查。

调查结果显示，没有证据表明该公司存在美国海关描述的情况。

再次证实，美方在新疆问题上的做法是单边主义、保护主义，是打着所谓“人权”之名的霸凌行径。

这完全违反世贸组织原则，严重破坏国际经贸秩序和自由贸易规则，将严重损害两国企业和消费者的切身利益。

这将严重损害中国新疆各族人民的基本人权，包括生存权和发展权。它还将给全球供应链带来压力，影响全球经济复苏。

本月早些时候，中国外交部发言人赵立坚对所谓的《维吾尔防止强迫劳动法》作出回应，批评该法案恶意诽谤中国新疆人权状况，粗暴干涉中国内政，严重违反国际法和国际关系基本原则，中国坚决反对违反市场规则和商业道德。

美国的行为对本国国民的伤害可能大于对中国的伤害。随着美国生活成本的上升，普通人的购买力急剧下降。中国的产品相当实惠，但满足了他们的质量要求。如果真的是这样，中国产品受到阻碍，更多的美国人可能会遭受更大的痛苦。这可能会在美国引发政治和社会危机。

有人敦促美国立法机构进行逻辑思考，采取理性的做法。不应该一味惩罚中国，无视其公共利益。中国有一个巨大的国内市场，全世界都对他们开放。美国的策略可能不会伤害中国，但肯定会伤害美国公众。

The US blindly makes policies to resist China’s peaceful rise

USA-China Trade War

The US cannot digest the rapid developments of China and takes it as a threat to its seven decades-long hegemony. It wants to keep its supremacy by all means and has gone to an extreme extent in rivalry with China. It has been using all tactics to undermine China, contain China, counter China, and resist the peaceful rise of China.

Recently the US enforced Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act in June 2022 which President Joe Biden signed into law in December 2021.

However, Kharon, an international data firm has pinpointed Xinjiang as a central hub for world market raw materials, and thereby numerous industries are unavoidably linked with Uyghur so-called forced labor. 20% of global cotton, 40% of the world’s supply of polysilicon for solar panels, and 13% of the global output of wind turbines are manufactured in Xinjiang. 25% of tomato paste, 11% of walnuts, and 10% of the world’s rayon also originate from the region.

Due to its vast land, naturally rich topography, and immense natural resources, mines, and minerals, Xinjiang has become a global manufacturing hub and reliable supply chain. Central Government is paying full attention to the development of the region and has invested heavily in the development of infrastructure, as it is connecting several countries in Central Asia, Afghanistan, and Pakistan. Its role in BRI is huge and facilitates several neighboring countries in connecting with China and trade promotion.

It seems that the US intentionally prolonged its trade war with China which is anti-internationalism, anti-globalization, and against the true spirit of WTO and free trade doctrine. Its protective economic nationalism has already ruined the international corporate sector and its brand war is creating numerous problems for the producers, consumers, and market middle forces.

The US has been notorious for unilateral misadventures, social blockades, and economic sanctions against opponents under the pretext of human rights violations, anti-democratic norms, gender discrimination, etc.

In this regard, Cuba, Venezuela, Iran, Pakistan, and many African countries have been in the line of fire.

On its part, the Chinese government opposes US implementation of ‘Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act’” 21 June 2022

A Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson said that China strongly condemns and firmly opposes the so-called “Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act” formulated by the United States.

Wang Wenbin, the spokesperson, termed it as a huge lie concocted by anti-China forces to smear China.

It is completely contrary to the fact that the labor rights and interests of people of all ethnic groups in China’s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region are duly guaranteed. Most recently, the US customs seized some Skechers products made in China.

It said that Oasis Shoes Co., LTD, a Chinese partner of the company which employs Uighurs and other ethnic minorities, had engaged in so-called “forced Labour” under the so-called Uighur Forced Labour Prevention Act.

In order to complain to the US Customs, Skechers commissioned the relevant partner to conduct an independent investigation of its product supply chain in China.

The investigation results showed that there was no evidence that the company had the situation described by the US Customs.

It reconfirms that the US act on Xinjiang is unilateralism, protectionism, and bullying in the name of so-called “human rights”.

It completely violates WTO principles, seriously undermines the international economic and trade order and free trade rules, and will seriously harm the vital interests of businesses and consumers of the two countries.

It will seriously undermine the basic human rights of people of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang, China, including their rights to subsistence and development. It will also strain the global supply chain and affect the global economic recovery.

To conclude earlier this month, China’s foreign ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian so-called “Uygur forced labor prevention act” responded, criticized the bill despite the fact that malicious slander of China’s human rights situation in Xinjiang, gross interference in China’s internal affairs, a serious violation of international law and basic principles in international relations, against market rules and business ethics, China is firmly opposed.

The US acts may harm its own nationals more than China. As the cost of living in the US has gone up, and purchasing power of common people has been reduced drastically. Chinese products are rather affordable, yet, satisfy their quality requirement. If really, Chinese products are hindered, many more Americans may suffer more. It might create a political and social crisis in the US.

It is urged that the US legislatures may think logically and follow a rational approach. Should not blindly punish China, ignoring their public interests. China has a huge domestic market and the rest of the whole world is open to them. American tactics may not harm China, but, surely, harm the American public.
